Jack Taylor Cycles, Church Road, Stockton-on-Tees
Updated 10.11.2020
Involved in the cycling trade since the 1930s, Jack Taylor Cycles was comprised of three brothers—Jack, Ken, and Norman Taylor—who produced a wide range of hand built bicycles in Stockton-on-Tees, England. Jack Taylor built his first frame in 1936; the three brothers produced bicycles and frames together from 1945 through the early 1990’s. Jack built his last frame a few years later. In their heyday, the Taylor brothers exported many bikes, especially tandems and touring frames, to the USA. Jack Taylors are widely respected for their innovative designs as well as the quality of their fillet brazed and lugged construction.

Produced by BBC North East in 1986. Special thanks to Nic Henderson
Another nice video shot by Mark Lawrence on the occasion of
the Taylor brothers being invited to the Seattle Bike Expo in 2010.
