Roger Piel

HUBS

pedals

“Roger Piel (1921-2002) was a French Professional during the 1940/50’s. He won three National Pursuit titles on the track and was second in the 1946 Worlds Pursuit Championship. During his career he rode for: Garin, Alcyon, Gitane and Guerra.”

“The (Roger PIEL) pedals were about in the 1950s and they were unique in the fact that if you removed one of the cage screws you could lubricate them through this hole. (In the UK) Ross Cycles of Balham in South London use to stock them but they were hideously expensive compared to British pedals or even French made Lyotards.”
