Thron and Bethet Company’s Idéale saddles certainly date from 1890 and ceased production in or around the mid 1980s. Any information about their business would be appreciated.

This model is a design from the later days of Idéale.

In addition to it’s unusual “hawk nose” shape, it has an atypical webbed pattern on the surface of the leather’s underside.
